The journey can be exhausting, and you may need to stop often to rest. Sometimes the road is smooth, sometimes it is bumpy, and sometimes you may hit a pothole. You may get stuck somewhere that you don’t really want to be. Then, hopefully, help comes along, and you are back on the road again. The Hospice of the Northwest Bereavement Team can be part of the helpful hands and hearts that support you through the ups and downs of this process.

Just as we care for patients and their loved ones, we also care for the staff who help provide support during this last journey in life. Whether you are working in a facility, as an in-home caregiver, or you are part of our community, we are here for you.
We are available to speak at facilities, schools, and community organizations following a death. We will tailor the support to the needs of your group.
Call our office at (360) 814-5550 to learn more. You may also contact the Outreach and Education Team directly to request an educational presentation.

Grief is a normal and natural reaction to significant emotional loss of any kind. It is the conflicting feeling caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behavior. Grief is the feeling of reaching out for someone who has always been there, only to find when you need them again, they are no longer there.
The Grief Recovery Method™ is an 8-week program that builds on each previous session. Attendance and commitment are essential. There is no fee to participate in the program, and it is 100% funded by the donors of Hospice of the Northwest Foundation. Please call for more information and for pre-registration:
